Home Learning

At Kelford we understand the need to  continually deliver high quality education, including during periods of remote learning, whether that be on an individual or group basis. We recognise the need to maintain high expectations and minimise disruption to any pupils education. We will work with families to support pupils in a manner that best meets the needs of individual pupils. Where appropriate we make use of the online evidence for learning platform for sharing work and/or work packs and resources are sent home on request.

Listed below are a comprehensive list of educational websites and resources which can be used to support and engage learning at home, If you are a parent who would like any specific home learning providing, this can be requested from class teachers through the use of class dojo.

English

Not all our children will access a phonics learning programme to develop their reading. However, many of our children will and do access this in school. As part of our school phonics learning, we follow the Read, Write, Inc programme which you can find online here at www.ruthmiskin.com . There are daily phonics sessions taking place through their YouTube channel which you can all access as and when is appropriate. These can be found here: Link

Some of the e-books available on the Oxford Owl website are excellent to share at home. These can be found here: www.oxfordowl.co.uk .

For many of our children, sensory stories are a fantastic way for families to share stories. These can be done at home with whatever materials you have around the house. For advice and guidance, a great website to use is www.bagbooks.org .
